The Zahišar Homestead at the Šmartno/Brda
The Zahišar homestead in the eastern part of the
defense wall at Goranji Konc was thoroughly reworked by
Anton Peršolja, Tone in the early 20th century. In the
homestead were also family shop and pub until the year 1948.
The Nazis set fire to the homestead in the year 1944, but
Jožef Peršolja, Pepe, son of Tone, succeeded to cut the roof of the
bridge passage and saved the rest of the house against fire.
The ruin was pulled down at the end of the fifties or
at early sixties of the 20th century. Bridge
passage was left as the only gateway to the first
floor and because of conservation of cultural heritage.
