Slovensko The Mrzlca Brook

Slapovanje - Waterfalling

The Mrzlca brook springs around 1470 m high at Planina Sleme alpine pasture and
a good three hundred and fifty meters lower below the Pretovč hill.

Its basin is built by various Cretaceous limestones, which are between 70 and 100 million years old.
It is covered in the upper part with scree and moraine.

Around 700 m above sea level near the Ikmanac, the bed begins to deepen into limestone.
Soon it is caught in the deep upper and lower Korita.

There is no permanent water in the spring area. The water appears a little above the Ikmenec.
It creates in a short distance below permanent springs beautiful waterfalls.
